The Cyber Crime Team of Magura district police has recovered 35 mobile phones reported lost in general diaries (GD) at different times and returned them to their rightful owners.
Magura Superintendent of Police Md Molla Azad Hossain formally handed over the phones to the owners at a press conference held at his office on Thursday afternoon.
Additional Superintendent of Police Md Shah Shibli Sadiq and Assistant Superintendent of Police Nishat Al Nahiyan were also present at the event.
Police said the phones were recovered from different parts of the country using modern technology and cyber tracking systems. After verification of proper evidence and information, the devices were handed over to their owners.
Recipients expressed gratitude to the district police for recovering and returning their lost mobile phones after a long time.
Officials said such quick and effective technological initiatives are helping increase public trust and confidence in the police.
