A 32-year-old man died after falling from a tree in the capital’s Demra North Bazar area on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Md Shapon, son of Md Raton of this area.
Sources said that Shapon fell from a coconut tree while picking coconut around 12pm on Sunday.
Later, family members rescued him and took him to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
Md Faruk, in charge of the DMCH police outpost, said the body has been kept in the hospital morgue for post-mortem.
