A 50-year-old man, who was detained on Monday, allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of the toilet of Banshtoil Police camp in Mirzapur upazila of Tangail district early Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Lebu Shikdar, son of Bahar Uddin of Banshtoil village.

He died there after failing to bear the torture under police custody.
