Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the fair through videoconferencing from her official residence Ganobhaban, said Deputy Commissioner Abu Saleh Mohammad Ferdous Khan while talking to reporters at the venue in city’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area.
Alongside the capital, separate fairs will be held in all district and upazila headquarters throughout the country till October 6.
The fair will remain open from 10 am till 9 pm every day.
A colourful rally will be brought out from the venue around 8:45 am.
The fair is being orgasined aiming to showcase the development activities taken by the present government, he said.
Development successes achieved in different sectors under the dynamic and farsighted leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will be exhibited in the countrywide fair.
Besides, 10 special initiatives taken by the Prime Minister, international recognitions and successes, the Visions 2021 and 2041, Bangabandhu Satellite, mega projects, including Padma Bridge and Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant as well as investment prospects will be displayed in the fair.
Three seminars will be held in the three-day long fair. On the first day a seminar titled ‘Bangabandhu’s Development Philosophy and Today's Bangladesh’ will be held at 5 pm while another titled ‘Ten Special Initiatives of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Sustainable Development Goal’ will be held on the second day and a seminar on ‘Educated Nation and Wealthy Country: Sheikh Hasina’s Bangladesh’ will be held on the third day around 10 am.
The Mass Communication Directorate will project the government's successes among people through its district offices, while Bangladesh Betar will air the government's development activities.
