The National Consensus Commission (NCC) has expressed hope that it will be able to submit specific and comprehensive recommendations to the government very soon for the implementation of the July Charter.
The Commission said on Thursday during a meeting with experts to discuss recommendations on the ways and means of implementing the July National Charter 2025.
Participants in the meeting included retired Supreme Court Appellate Division Justice MA Matin, Dean of the Faculty of Law at Dhaka University Professor Mohammad Ikramul Haque, Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court Dr Sharif Bhuiyan, Barrister Imran Siddique, Barrister Tanim Hossain Shawon, and retired Justice Moinul Islam Chowdhury, who joined virtually.
Thursday’s session continued the discussion left unfinished from the previous day’s meeting.
The Commission’s Vice-Chairman Professor Ali Riaz, along with members Dr Badiul Alam Majumder, Justice Md Emdadul Haque, Dr Iftekharuzzaman, and Dr Mohammad Ayub Mia, took part in the meeting on behalf of the Commission.
Monir Haider, special assistant to the Chief Adviser involved in the national consensus-building process, was also present.
