Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus on Monday underscored the necessity of continued support from the European Union for fending off the global disinformation campaign by perpetrators of the fallen regime against Bangladesh.
He also laid emphasis on EU's support in charting a sustainable course for LDC graduation and attaining trade benefits - GSP+, fighting climate change, finding a sustainable solution to the Rohingya crisis, and robust implementation of necessary reforms building up towards a free, fair and democratic election with the help of all.
He also reiterated the call for cooperation in building a new Bangladesh not only for its own sake, but also as a contribution to the greater stability of the region and world at large.
The EU Ambassadors expressed their commitment to continued support for implementation of reforms.
Prof Yunus had a joint interactive session with Ambassadors/Heads of Mission of the European Union and its Member States today in Dhaka.

Nineteen EU Mission representatives including 14 (fourteen) Ambassadors/ High Commissioners, both from Dhaka and New Delhi, joined the interaction.
Foreign Affairs Adviser Md. Touhid Hossain also attended the event.
During his initial remarks, the Chief Adviser briefly spoke on the background, priorities, ongoing reform initiatives and vision of the Interim Government.
This was followed by individual comments, views, and queries presented by the Heads of EU Missions, to the Chief Adviser.
They reconfirmed and solidified strong support from the EU to the Interim Government and the people of Bangladesh.
Meeting between diplomats from EU member states, CA Dr Yunus underway
While the Chief Adviser mostly responded to each intervention from the attendees, the Foreign Affairs Adviser also intervened on particular issues pertaining to regional cooperation, visa facilitation for Bangladeshi students and professionals, migration, and the Rohingya crisis.
The discussion went on for about an hour and a half and manifested the multifaceted cooperation and partnership between Bangladesh and the EU.
