Following the closure of the North Korean mission in Dhaka, Bangladesh’s bilateral affairs with Pyongyang will be managed through the North Korean Embassy in New Delhi, India, said a senior official on Sunday.
Bangladesh Embassy in Beijing, China acts as a means of communication with North Korea, said alternative spokesperson at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) Mohammad Rafiqul Alam on Sunday.
At a weekly briefing, he, however, said the outgoing ambassador of North Korea expressed optimism about opening the North Korean embassy in Dhaka again in the future.

North Korea opened its first embassy in Bangladesh in 1974. The North Korean embassy in Dhaka was recently announced closed.
