Extending warm greetings on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said the shared vision of Bangladesh and India as reflected in their national development goals is aimed at the mutual benefit of their peoples.
"Government of India looks forward to working closely with the Government of Bangladesh to strengthen people-centric cooperation in various domains," he said in a letter to Bangladesh Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.

greetings to you and the brotherly people of the People's Republic of Bangladesh on the auspicious occasion of Eid-al-Adha," Prime Minister Modi said.
He said this sacred festival forms an integral part of India's rich and diverse cultural heritage and is celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm by millions of people of the Islamic faith across the country.
"It upholds the timeless ideals of sacrifice, compassion and brotherhood, which are essential for fostering a peaceful and inclusive world," said the Indian Prime Minister.
He said Bangladesh and India share a deep-rooted bond built on shared sacrifices, cultural commonalities, and a mutual desire for peace, stability and growth.
The Indian Prime Minister extended best wishes for Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s health and well-being, and for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of Bangladesh.
