Khagrachhari, Oct 16 (UNB) – Apparently referring to the ongoing drive against terrorism and corruption, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan on Wednesday said steps will be taken whenever needed for the sake of peace and order.
“The drive against terrorism and corruption is going on. Necessary steps will be taken whenever required for the sake of peace and order,” he said while talking to reporters after inaugurating the newly-constructed building of Ramgarh Model Police Station in Ramgarh upazila.
The minister also said efforts are on to bring permanent peace in the Chattogram Hill Tracts. “Decisions will be taken in consultation with public representatives, civil society members and senior administration officials of the hilly region,” he added.
Earlier, Asaduzzaman inaugurated the newly-constructed four-storey building of the police station.
Later, he spoke as the chief guest at a rally against drugs, terrorism and militancy at Ramgarh High School ground.
