A 14-year-old physically-challenged girl was reportedly raped at Mollahpara of Magura town on Thursday night.
Locals captured a youth, Tito Kazi, in this connection and handed him over to the police.
Sub-inspector Parishkar Biswas of Magura Sadar Police Station, also the investigating officer, said Tito, a neigbour, took the physically-challenged girl to his room around 8 pm and raped her there.
Parishkar said the mother of the girl was away from home at that time. On her return home, she found her daughter unconscious after rape.
Later, locals caught Tito who was in the next room and handed him over to the police when the girl described the incident upon regaining consciousness.
A case was filed with Magura Sadar Police Station.
