Jatiya Party (JaPa) leaders paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Tuesday afternoon at her official residence Ganabhaban and assured that they will continue to play a constructive and effective role both in parliament and its outside.
Opposition Leader Raushon Ershad, deputy opposition leader and JaPa Chairman GM Quader and son of late President HM Ershad, Rahgir Al Mahi Ershad (popularly know as Saad Ershad) were present at the meeting, said a press release of the Prime Minister's press wing.

The Prime Minister inquired about the health of the opposition leader and exchanged greetings.
Sheikh Hasina thanked the opposition Jatiya Party for playing a constructive and positive role in the parliamentary democracy.
The Leader of the House also discussed the responsible role being played by the opposition parties across the globe to strengthen democracy and constitutional government system.

The JaPa leaders said that a stable democratic system is functional in the country confronting many hurdles in light with the spirit of the great Liberation War.
The people of the country are getting the benefit of the system and positive changes are being made in every sectors, the JaPa leaders said.
The Jatiya Party is committed to continue the democratic and constitutional government system from its political position, they added.
