President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Wednesday urged the Attorney General’s Office to discharge its responsibilities with dedication, professionalism and accountability while upholding the dignity of the Constitution, rule of law and the country’s democratic journey.
President made the call when Attorney General Md Ruhul Quddus Kazal paid a courtesy call on him at Bangabhaban.
During the meeting, the Attorney General congratulated Mirza Fakhrul on assuming the office of President and conveyed his best wishes to him.
He briefed the President on the overall activities of the Attorney General’s Office and various initiatives and measures taken to protect state’s interests and legal rights.
They also discussed issues related to safeguarding the state’s legal interests, ensuring justice, protecting citizens’ rights and ensuring the effective role of constitutional institutions.
Mirza Fakhrul assured the Attorney General of all-out cooperation in discharging his responsibilities.
President’s Press Secretary Md Sarwar Alam was present during the meeting.
