Public Administration Day 2020 was observed at the Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on Tuesday amid festivity and much enthusiasm.
Marking the day, the teachers, students, officials and staff of public administration department brought out a colourful procession from in front of Mir Mosharraf Hossain academic building around 10:30am.
The procession ended at Birshrestha Hamidur Rahman Auditorium after parading through the campus. Later, a discussion programme was held.
IU Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor M Shahinoor Rahman, also the acting vice-chancellor, addressed the programme as chief guest while treasurer Professor M Selim Toha attended as the special guest with departmental chairman Professor Zufiquar Hossain in the chair.
Sadiqur Rahman and Shammi Akter Ontora, students of the department, jointly conducted the programme attended by over 500 teachers and students including Public Administration Day celebration committee convener Professor Raqiba Yesmin, AKM Motinur Rahman, Professor Begum Rokshana Mili, Professor Mohammad Selim and professor Mohammed Asaduzzaman took part in the event.
A cultural programme was also held at the auditorium to mark the day.
