Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted rain or thundershowers in eight divisions, including Dhaka, over 24 hours starting from 9 am today.
“Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind are likely to occur at many places under Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions; at a few places in Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal divisions; and at one or two places over Rajshahi division, with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over Sylhet division,” said a regular bulletin of the Met office.

Day and night temperatures may rise slightly over the country, it reads.
Earlier, the well-marked low pressure area over northeast Bay and adjoining area weakened into a low pressure area.

The weather office recorded the highest rainfall of 62 mm in Chattogram and Noakhali in 24 hours till 6 am today.
The highest temperature was recorded at 36 degree Celsius in Rajshahi, while the lowest temperature was recorded at 22.7 degrees in Gopalganj.
