All kinds of gatherings, rallies, processions, demonstrations and protests have been prohibited in several important areas of Dhaka city starting from May 18 (Sunday) until further notice, according to a media release issued by the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) on Saturday.
The restriction has been imposed in the interest of maintaining public order and ensuring the smooth movement of people, the ISPR release added.

The areas covered under this prohibition include Kachukhet Road, Bijoy Sarani to the Chief Adviser’s office via Bir Sreshtho Shaheed Jahangir Gate, BAF Shaheen College to Motijheel Flyover, Sainik Club intersection, Bhashantek, Matikata, ECB Chattar and their surrounding areas.
