Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Saturday urged all political, social, cultural, professional and voluntary organisations to remain united in Bangladesh’s fight against coronavirus.
He made the call at a briefing from his residence in the morning.
Quader said those who are not maintaining social distance are endangering themselves.
He also called for putting up social resistance against those spreading rumours.
The Awami League leader said irregularities would not be tolerated while distributing relief materials.
“Relief has to reach the poor,” Quader said, urging the rich people and party leaders to stand beside the helpless people in this crisis moment.
Meanwhile, he said the 28th span of the Padma Bridge has been installed, making 4.2km of the 6.15km bridge visible.
