A Biman Bangladesh Airlines domestic flight bound for Chattogram was forced to return to Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) in Dhaka on Monday afternoon after a technical issue caused an excessive rise in cabin temperature shortly after takeoff.
The Dash-8 aircraft departed from Dhaka at approximately 2:34pm but turned back just 21 minutes later, landing safely at HSIA at 2:55pm, confirmed Biman's General Manager (Public Relations) ABM Raoshan Kabir.
All passengers were later accommodated on the same aircraft, which resumed its journey and departed for Chattogram around 4pm, he added.
