Riyadh Air, Saudi Arabia’s new national carrier, on Thursday opened ticket sales for daily direct flights between Dhaka and Riyadh, with operations set to begin on August 7, aiming to strengthen connectivity between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia while offering convenient onward links to destinations across West Asia (aka the Middle East) and Europe.
The new route will connect Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (DAC) with King Khalid International Airport (RUH), responding to growing demand for business, leisure and transit travel between South Asia and the Gulf region.
The airline said the service will be operated by its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, featuring modern cabin interiors and upgraded onboard services.
According to the published schedule, flight RX0763 will depart Riyadh at 9:20 pm local time and arrive in Dhaka at 6:10 am the following day. The return flight, RX0764, will leave Dhaka at 7:40 am and reach Riyadh at 10:55 am local time.
Tickets are now available through the Riyadh Air website, mobile app and authorized travel agents.
Passengers can also join the airline’s loyalty programme, Sfeer, as founding members to receive a Best Offer Guarantee, complimentary onboard Wi-Fi and reward points from their first flight, the airline said.
Riyadh Air said the launch marks another step in expanding its international network while reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s connectivity with key global and regional markets.
The airline noted that Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia share longstanding diplomatic and economic ties, with the new service expected to support growing business, tourism and people-to-people exchanges.
The direct flights will also provide Bangladeshi passengers with easier access to Riyadh’s business, entertainment and cultural attractions, while enabling seamless onward travel through Riyadh Air’s expanding network and codeshare partnerships.
