BNP acting Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Tuesday expressed the party’s firm commitment to friendship with China.
He also spoke highly of the Communist Party of China’s approach to party building and state governance, stressing the need for greater inter-party exchanges and cooperation.
The issues came up when Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen paid a courtesy call on Rizvi at the BNP Chairman’s Gulshan office at 11:00am, according to a press release issued by the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka.
During the meeting, Ambassador Yao said the Communist Party of China attaches great importance to its friendly relations with BNP and is ready to further deepen institutionalised exchanges between the two parties and enhance the sharing of experience and mutual learning on state governance and party building.
He greeted Rizvi with flowers and held cordial discussions with him on various issues aimed at further advancing political ties and ongoing friendly relations between the two countries.
They also expressed hope that ongoing development activities between the two countries will gain further momentum.
