Two suspected drug peddlers were killed and another was injured in a road accident in Haluaghat upazila of Mymensingh Wednesday.
One of the deceased was identified as Alaksa, 35, a resident of Dapunia area in sadar upazila. The inured is Fahad Mahmud Farabi, 32, son of Abul Hossain of the district city.

Locals said the trio was returning to the city from Haluaghat border with some bottles of foreign liquior in back bags on a motorbike. Some bottles were also damaged during the accident.
Abul Khayer, officer-in-charge (OC) of Haluaghat police station, said the motorbike rammed into a sand-laden stationary truck from behind in front of Haluaghat Upazila Fire Service amid dense fog around 5am.

The accident left the two killed and Farabi injured, he said, adding that the injured was undergoing treatment at a hospital.
