According to his smart NID card, the robber’s name is Noor Alam, son of Kala Mia and Saru Begum. His 10-digit smart NID number is 6004589963 and his date of birth is November, 25, 1983.
Director General of the EC’s National Identity Registration Wing Brig Gen Mohammad Saidul Islam told reporters at the Nirbachan Bhaban on Sunday that they also came to know about the matter and will form a probe body within a couple of days to investigate the matter.
“We came to know about the matter today…an investigation committee will be formed within a couple of days to look into the matter. The culprits must be punished,” he said.
Noor Mohammad, the leader of a notorious robber gang, was killed in an alleged gunfight with police at Jadimora No 27 camp in Teknaf in the early hours.
