Senior journalist Khandaker Mohitul Islam, a permanent member of Jatiya Press Club, died at a private clinic in Dhaka on Tuesday.
He was 68.
Mohitul Islam suffered a stroke and died at the United Hospital where he was on life support.
The journalist is survived by his wife, two sons, and a daughter.
In his long career, he worked at various national dailies including Daily Observer and worked as news consultant of BSS. He also worked as editor of Dainik Janata.
Press Club President Saiful Alam and General Secretary Farida Yasmin expressed their deep condolence at the death of the journalist.
