Seven Myanmar nationals were arrested in Teknaf on Wednesday with 280,000 yaba pills by the Bangladesh Coast Guard.
In-Charge of Coast Guard Teknaf Station Lt Commander Amirul said they spotted a trawler in Katabunia area of Naf River at 4am during a regular patrolling.
When they asked the trawler to stop, it tried to flee but the patrol successfully managed to reach the trawler and recovered the Yaba pills from two jerry cans, he said.
Seven Myanmar citizens, who are involved in regular yaba smuggling to Bangladesh, were arrested from the trawler, Amirul said.
