Prime Minister's ICT Affairs Adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy today said the nation can enjoy the fruits of freedom because Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina returned to the country on May 17, 1981 with “a sad heart, tearful eyes, and deep sorrow after losing her parents and siblings.”
“With the elimination of the politics of violence, today we have become wealthy, and we can breathe a sigh of peace in a clean and green Bangladesh,” he wrote in a post from his verified Facebook account.
Marking Sheikh Hasina’s homecoming day, he said her return ushered in a new era for Bangladesh.
