Sikder Group has issued a clarification about a recent court order that saw the freezing of 42 Beneficiary Owner (BO) accounts linked to the late Zainul Haque Sikder, the founder of Sikder Group, and his family members.
In the clarification circulated among media on Monday, Sikder Group said that first and foremost, it is important to note that they have neither sold, nor plan to sell or transfer any of its properties or assets. The assets under the ownership of Sikder Group are secured, and there is no intention to shift ownership of any of their 'valuable' properties.

Instead, Sikder Group is actively working to secure Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) to complete its ongoing and unfinished projects. The Group remains fully committed to its business operations and development plans in Bangladesh, and is engaging with international investors to enhance growth opportunities and contribute to the nation's economic progress.
The statement also said that Sikder Group is also aware of the legal proceedings involving the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) and is fully cooperating with all investigative bodies.
“We continue to maintain our focus on business activities and reassure our partners, clients, and stakeholders that Sikder Group is committed to ethical business practices and the legal process”, added the statement.
