A 25-year-old government employee was stabbed to death over previous enmity in the capital’s Agargaon area early Sunday.

Firoz went out to play badminton at local Eidgaon Field on Saturday night.
On his way home after playing badminton, a group of locals—Talha, Nasir, Raju, Muhid, Nayon, Limon, Jothi, Rana, Rabbi and others - stabbed and hit Firoz with sticks, said his brother.
On information they rushed to the spot and first took him to Suhrawardhy Medical College Hospital. He was later shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital when his condition worsened.
“My brother succumbed to his injuries at the DMCH upon arrival,” he said.

Though the reason behind the murder could not be known, the victim’s family claimed that the killers had a target to murder him.
Utfal Barua, officer-in-charge of Sher-E-Bangla Nagar police station, said a team has been investigating the murder.
“Primarily it seems that previous enmity might have led to the killing,” the OC added.
