On Friday night, members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested Abu Muslehuddin alias Idris, son of Rashid Saodagar, and a madras teacher hailing from Maheshkhali upazila in Cox’s Bazar district.
Acting on a tip-off, an elite force team conducted a drive in the area and arrested him but the team could not find the contraband consignment on him through a primary body search, according to a Rab-11 press release.
Later, he was taken to a diagnostic centre where the doctor recovered the contraband yaba pills from his abdomen after surgery. Thereafter Muslehuddin revealed how he used to regularly moonlight as a drug mule, charging Tk 13 per piece of yaba that he would carry from Cox’s Bazaar into the country’s heartland, making at least 5 trips a month. This last trip earned him Tk 31,200.
A case was filed with Siddhirganj Police Station against him, press release added.
