A tea stall owner died after being electrocuted in Kurigram sadar upazila on Thursday morning.
The deceased was identified as Soljar Hossain (50), son of late Shamsher Ali of Char Madhabram village under Bhogdanga union.
According to local sources, Soljar left his home early in the morning around 6:00 am to open his tea stall at the east side of the Dharla Bridge. At one point, he went behind the shop and came into contact with a live electric wire, leading to his death on the spot.

It is initially believed that the incident occurred sometime between 6:10 am and 9:00 am.
Kurigram Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Jahangir Alam confirmed the incident.
Locals later discovered the incident, and a pall of grief descended on the area.
