Police arrested a teenager on Friday as he allegedly raped a six-year-old girl in Charkashipur area of Fatullah in Narayanganj.
The 14-year-old boy, who was a neighbor of the victim, took the girl to a secluded place nearby and raped her on Thursday night, said Officer-in-Charge of Fatullah Model Police Station Aslam Hossain.
The teen was arrested after the victim’s mother filed a case under the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act, he said.
The victim was sent to hospital for a medical test, OC said.
