Activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) and Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) locked into a clash on Dhaka University campus on Thursday, leaving several of them injured .
Police said seven JCD activists were injured in the clash in front of Shilpakala Academy around 12 pm while JCD leaders claimed that over 30 of their activists were injured in the clash.
Activists of BCL, student wing of Awami League, from different dormitories of Dhaka University equipped with bamboo sticks, wood, iron rods, steel pipes and helmets attacked the JCD activists when they were marching towards Doel Chattar with a procession as per their pre-scheduled prigramme, said witnesses.

Newly nominated BCL hall leaders led the BCL activists who carried out the attack, alleged some JCD activists.
