Narayanganj, Sept 14 (UNB) – Police recovered the bullet-hit bodies of three young men from 300 Feet area of Purbachal here on Friday.
The deceased were identified as Sohag, Babu, residents of Mughda area and Shimul, a resident of Mohakhali area of the capital, all aged between 30-35.
Seeing the bullet-hit bodies of the three men lying under a bridge, local people informed police about it, said Maniruzzaman, officer-in-charge of Rupganj Police Station.
Police recovered the bodies around 8 am.
Meanwhile, police said they have launched an investigation to unearth the mystery behind the killings.
The three youths were learned to have remained missing since Wednesday. Hearing the news of body recovery, the victims’ family members went to the police station and identified the bodies.
Sohag’s brother said Babu is Sohag’s brother-in-law. He went to the police station and identified the body.
He said his brother had been running a fast-food shop and satellite cable business.
Shimul’s wife claimed that plainclothes men introducing themselves as DB police picked her husband up from Daulatdia Ferry Ghat on Wednesday.
However, the OC claimed that police recovered 35 Yaba tablets from the pocket of one of the victims.
