Train communication between Sylhet and other parts of the country resumed around 9pm on Tuesday, four hours after a tree fell on the part of the rail track going through Lawachara National Park in Moulvibazar.
Shakhawat Hossain, station master of Sri Mangal Railway Station, said the train movement between Sylhet and the entire country resumed after the tree was removed from rail the tracks.

Sources said a Sylhet-bound intra-city train ‘Paharika Express’ from Chattogram got stranded at Srimangal Station and another Sylhet-bound ‘Kalni Express’ from the capital also got stuck at Satgaon Station.
Sumon Mia, a passenger of the Paharika Express, said “I have been stranded at the Sri Mangal station around three hours and tired of waiting.”
“I have to go to Sylhet on emergency basis but got stranded here,” he added.
