The Turkish Airlines ActivePulse International Half Marathon 2026 was held at Hatirjheel in Dhaka, bringing together around 5,000 participants from Bangladesh and abroad.
Turkish Airlines, which flies to more countries than any other airline, was the title sponsor of the event, which celebrated sports and its role in connecting people and communities.
The event was particularly significant for Turkish Airlines as it marks 15 years of operations in Bangladesh, connecting the country with Türkiye and destinations across its global network.
Held at the iconic Hatirjheel area, the marathon brought together runners and supporters from different communities, reflecting growing interest in running and healthy lifestyles in Bangladesh.
Turkish Airlines Dhaka General Manager İslam Güre said the airline was delighted to mark its 15th anniversary in Bangladesh with an event highlighting movement, determination and connection.
“Sport has a unique ability to bring people together, just as aviation connects people, cultures and destinations around the world,” he said.
Turkish Airlines currently operates seven weekly flights between Dhaka and Istanbul, connecting passengers from Bangladesh to Türkiye and destinations across its global network.
