From growing up side by side to sitting for the same examination and achieving the same top grade, twin brothers Zahid Hasan and Kaif Hossain have turned their SSC success into a story of shared dreams and determination.
The brothers, from Charkathalia village in Meghna upazila of Cumilla, secured GPA-5 in this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination from Daudkandi Adarsha Pilot High School.
Both studied in the science group and achieved GPA-5 in all subjects.
For their family, the result was more than just an academic achievement. It was the culmination of years of watching the two brothers learn, compete and grow together.
Md Abul Kalam, their father and businessmen by profession, said the twins had shared almost every important milestone of their lives.
“They were born together, grew up together and appeared in the SSC examination together. We are all very happy that both of them have secured GPA-5,” he said.
The achievement also brought a festive mood to their school.
Mohammad Jasim Uddin, head teacher of Daudkandi Adarsha Pilot High School, said students gathered at the school gate with banners to celebrate the twins’ success.
For Zahid and Kaif, however, the result is not the end of their journey. It is a new beginning.
The brothers said they were delighted with their achievement and expressed gratitude to their parents and teachers, whom they credited for supporting them throughout their studies.
Their next goal is already clear. They want to study at one of the country’s leading universities and pursue engineering.
But their ambition goes beyond academic success. The twins say they want to use their education and professional lives to serve people.
For now, Zahid and Kaif are celebrating a milestone they reached together. Two brothers, born on the same day and shaped by the same journey, are now preparing to take their next steps toward a shared dream.
