Two people were found dead in separate incidents in Mathbaria upazila of Pirojpur district on Sunday morning.
The deceased were identified as Sagar, 30, son of Kalu Mia, and Abdur Rashid, 35, son of Nur Mohammad, of Dakkhin Amragachia union of the upazila.
Locals said someone called Abdur Rashid out of his house around 11:00pm on Saturday and since then he remained missing.
Later, local residents spotted his body near Nehalia Madrasah on Sunday morning.
In another incident, Sagar was found dead near a road in the area, also in the morning.
On information, police recovered the bodies and sent those to local hospital morgue, said Additional Superintendent of Police (Mathbaria circle) Partha Chakraborty.
He said they were investigation the incidents with utmost importance. “The Criminal Investigation Department has been informed. The actual cause behind the killings can be determined after the investigation is completed,” he said.
Earlier on May 24, two people identified as Yusuf Sharif, 35, and Abdul Kaiyum, 26, were killed by miscreants in Mathbaria upazila.
