Two motorcyclists were killed after a train hit their bike at a level crossing in Pubail area of Gazipur on Thursday night.
The deceased were identified as Sajib Mia, 40, son of late Ashraf Ali of Mridha Bari area in Pubail, and Sheikh Habib Bappi, 35, son of Abul Kashem of Satanipara area in Gazipur.
The accident occurred around 9:30 pm at Pubail rail crossing on Tongi–Ghorashal road, said Md Atikul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Pubail Police Station under Gazipur Metropolitan Police.
A Dhaka-bound train, Mahanagar Express, collided with the motorbike while it was passing the level crossing, leaving both dead on the spot.
Following the accident, relatives of the victims took the bodies home, the OC added.
