Unidentified people on Wednesday night set two vehicles on fire in Sylhet and Bogura after announcing the polls schedule amid the countrywide 48-hour blockade enforced by BNP-Jamaat and like-minded opposition parties.
The attack on a three wheeler, locally known as Leguna, in Daspara area under Sadar upazila of Sylhet was reported around 8:43 pm, said Talha Bin Zashim, station officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defence's media cell.
Responding to the call, two firefighting units from Sylhet Cantonment Fire Station rushed to the spot to douse the fire, he said.

One firefighting unit from Bogura Fire Station rushed to the spot and put out the flame, said the fire service officer.
For the fifth time, BNP, Jamaat and like-minded opposition parties are enforcing a countrywide road, rail, and waterway blockade to press home their one-point demand ahead of the national election.
