Two workers of a pushcart were killed and two others were injured when a pickup van hit them at Gulshan in the capital on Saturday.
The victims were identified as Arif Uddin (32) and Abdur Rahman Babul (44), while the injured workers were known as Abul Kashem (45) and Mizanur Rahman.

Sub-inspector (SI) Mohammad Nuruzzaman of Gulshan police station the accident took place at 12.45 pm.
Being informed, critically injured Arif and Babul were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared them dead at around 2:45 pm. Abul Kashem and Mizanur Rahman were taken to a local hospital, SI Nuruzzaman said.

Injured Kashem said he along with the three other workers were going to Coca-cola from Kalachandpur carrying rubbish on the pushcart when a pickup van hit it near Kalachandpur crossing.
The two bodies were kept at the DMCH morgue for post-mortem.
