US-Bangla Airlines, one of the leading private airlines in Bangladesh, will resume flight operations on the Dhaka-Jashore route from September 9, responding to long-standing demand for improved air connectivity in Jashore.
The airline will operate two round-trip flights a day on Saturdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays using 72-seat ATR 72-600 aircraft.
Under the new schedule, the first flight will leave Dhaka at 9:30am and reach Jashore at 10:15am. The return flight will depart Jashore at 10:45am and arrive at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 11:30am.
The second flight of the day will depart from Dhaka at 4:45 pm and arrive in Jashore at 5:30 pm. The return flight will depart from Jashore at 6:00 pm and arrive in Dhaka at 6:45pm.
The airline will operate the route with its 72-seat ATR 72-600 aircraft.
The minimum one-way fare on the Dhaka–Jashore route has been set at Tk 5,749, while the minimum return fare is Tk 11,498. All applicable taxes and surcharges are included in the stated fares.
US-Bangla Airlines began its journey on July 17, 2014, by launching its first flight on the Dhaka–Jashore route. Since then, the airline has remained committed to expanding domestic air connectivity and facilitating faster and more convenient travel between Dhaka and different parts of the country.
At present, US-Bangla Airlines operates regular domestic flights from Dhaka to Cox’s Bazar, Chattogram, Sylhet, Saidpur and Rajshahi.
The resumption of flights on the Dhaka–Jashore route reflects US-Bangla’s commitment to addressing the transportation needs and expectations of the people of Greater Jashore.
The renewed air connectivity is expected to facilitate travel for business, education, medical treatment, tourism and other essential purposes, while contributing to the region’s economic and commercial activities.
US-Bangla Airlines will continue to monitor passenger demand and market conditions and may consider increasing flight frequencies on the route in the future, subject to operational feasibility.
