He made the call while speaking at the 18th founding anniversary programme of national daily Anupama at a city hotel.
The minister said the information and communication sector saw a radical change in the last several years and there is no barrier to publishing any information in media now.
He, however, underscored the need for remaining alert so that there is no compromise with the motherland.
"Once we couldn’t focus on our own culture following the colonial rule. Time has come now to expose ourselves. So, you (youths) have to come forward to this end.”
State Minister for Information Dr Murad Hasan urged the media to publish authentic news.
