The US Navy mine countermeasures ship USS Warrior (MCM-10) arrived in Chattogram on Sunday to take part in Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Bangladesh 2026 with the Bangladesh Navy.
The exercise runs from November 2 to 6, said acting U.S. Mission Spokesperson Mara Bird.
Acting U.S. Defense Attaché Major Carsten Fletcher welcomed the ship and its crew when they arrived at Chattogram Port, Mara Bird said.
CARAT Bangladesh 2026 shows the U.S. commitment to working with the Bangladesh military on shared maritime security concerns in the region.
The exercise also strengthens the Bangladesh-US partnership and contributes to a stronger and more prosperous United States of America, Bird said.
