Residents of the capital visited Kawran Bazar, the largest kitchen market of Dhaka, for buying groceries despite increasing rate of coronavirus infection in the country.
Many were seen taking highest safety measures by wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while some tried to keep safe distance from each other during their shopping.
Meanwhile, the death toll from coronavirus in Bangladesh rose to 2,096 on Monday as the health authorities confirmed 44 more casualties in 24 hours.
They also detected 3,201 new Covid-19 cases after testing 14,245 samples which took the total number of confirmed cases to 1,65,618.
So far, she said, 8,60,307 tests have been conducted and the infection rate on Monday was recorded 22.47 percent.
