Women Journalists Network Bangladesh (WJNB) in partnership with the High Commission of Canada in Bangladesh on Tuesday organised a daylong workshop to sensitise journalists about digital safety and digital hygiene.
After the workshop held at the Jatiya Press Club, High Commissioner of Canada to Bangladesh Dr Lilly Nicholls distributed certificates among the participants and congratulated them.
“Democratic societies need a new vision for the digital age to ensure that digital technologies strengthen democratic institutions and the resilience of civil society, empower civic engagement, and enable the work of human rights defenders, public participation and the open and free exchange of ideas,” she said.
The High Commissioner also wished all a Happy International Girl Child Day!
Dr Kaberi Gayen, Professor, Mass Communication and Journalism Department of the University of Dhaka, Tanvir Hassan Zoha, cyber security analyst, Golam Kibria, journalist and media trainer and Angur Nahar Monty, journalist and coordinator, WJNB conducted the workshop as resource persons.
