A young man was stabbed and shot dead by unidentified assailants in the Harintana area of Khulna city on Wednesday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Md Manjurul Islam, son of Khokon of the area.
Sub-Inspector Mohi Mallick of Lobonchara Police Station said Manjurul was attacked in the area around 5:45pm, when the assailants stabbed him and shot him in the leg.
Further details about the incident could not be known.
