Twelve prominent Bangladeshi apparel and textile companies are participating in "Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris-2026," one of Europe's largest apparel fairs, which kicked off at the Le Bourget Exhibition Centre in Paris on Monday, according to a press release of Export Promotion Bureau (EPB).
A total of 24 representatives from the 12 Bangladeshi firms are showcasing their products at the three-day exhibition, running from August 31 to September 2. The participation is funded by the EPB and organized under the management of the Embassy of Bangladesh in Paris.
In addition, a business delegation led by EPB Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Mohammad Hasan Arif is attending the event.
Bangladesh Ambassador to France Khondker M. Talha inaugurated the Bangladesh Pavilion on the first day of the fair, with EPB Vice Chairman Mohammad Hasan Arif attending as the Guest of Honor. Senior officials from the Ministry of Commerce, the Embassy of Bangladesh in Paris, French government and private sector delegates, Bangladeshi trade representatives, and participating exhibitors were also present.
The participating Bangladeshi companies are Komoda Garments, Skylark Knit Composite Ltd., Norban Comtex Ltd., Warptex Bangladesh, BNM Garments Ltd., Fabitex Industries Ltd.,United Creation, Febrica Knit Composite, Ducati Apparels Ltd.,Chorus Fashion Ltd.,Bengal Glory Ltd.
and Siam Fabrics Ltd.
The platform serves as an international hub connecting garment manufacturers, textile and fabric suppliers, technological innovators, retailers, buyers, brands, and designers globally.
According to official sources, Bangladesh’s participation reflects its ongoing strategy to diversify export markets, promote value-added ready-made garments and textiles, attract international buyers, and enhance commercial engagement with France and broader Europe.
On the sidelines of the event's opening day, EPB Vice Chairman Mohammad Hasan Arif held a bilateral meeting with the Chief Executive Officer of Messe Frankfurt.
On the second day (September 1), the EPB chief is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with the President of renowned French brand Celio and visit the Premiere Vision Paris fair.
Following the fair, the EPB Vice Chairman will meet officials from the European Anti-Fraud Office and the Responsible Business Conduct Centre in Brussels, Belgium, on September 2.
On September 3, he is scheduled to hold bilateral trade expansion discussions with the Secretary-General of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) and the Head of the Responsible Business Conduct Centre at the OECD.
