The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) ended Tuesday’s trading with an upward trend.
The capital market extended its recovery mode for the second consecutive session.
The DSE's broad index increased by 45.71 points to 5,224.58 points, compared to 5,178.86 points in the previous (Sunday) trading session.
The shariah-based DSES index increased by 14.29 points to 1166.74 points, and the DS30 blue-chip index fell by 21.17 points to settle at 1929.49 points.
A total of 14.71 crore shares and units changed hands through 134851 transactions, seeing an upward trend compared to the previous session of 10.28 crore shares though 100962 transactions.
Out of the 397 issues (companies) traded, 210 advanced, 105 declined and 82 remained unchanged at the DSE.
The port city bourse, CSE, also settled on an upward trend of trading. The All Share Price Index (CASPI) increased by 74.04 points and settled at 14507.89 points.
On the CSE, 192 companies participated in trading. Of them, 99 companies recorded price gains, 56 companies saw declines, and 37 companies remained unchanged.
At the CSE shares and units of 42.57 lakh were changed hands through 1659 transactions on Tuesday. The value of trading shares and units is Tk 9.75 crore, which was Tk 5.7 crore on the previous day (Sunday).
