Professor Dr Salim, also the Chairman of Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation, presented the paper titled ‘Turning Challenges into Opportunities: Post LDC Graduation Era in Bangladesh’ in a seminar organized by Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) Chattagram Branch Council in a port city hotel.
Dr Salim said that measures need to be taken for facing the challenges of Bangladesh after LDC graduation includes investment in human development, overcoming infrastructure gap, quality education and investment in research, adoption of innovation and digitalization, building strong institution and improving good governance, female labor-force participation and diversification of exports of Bangladesh.
Bangladesh is now on the highway of development, he said. Bangladesh is now a universal model of development, he added. He called upon all concerned to prioritize the respective sectors facing challenges after LDC graduation.
