The speakers at the programme said that dairy farmers should not use antibiotic without prescription of veterinary doctors and after using antibiotic, farmers should not sale or consume it for specific time.
Cattle should be provided with safe and deep tube well water as harmful elements can be found in the milk for using polluted water and grass.
Rakibur Rahman, Chief Dairy Extension of PRAN Dairy said, “PRAN Dairy has contract with 12,000 farmers in five dairy hubs in the northern districts of the country. “The awareness programme aiming to produce safe milk will continue.”
Nasir Uddin, Mayor of Shahajadpur Municipality, Aktaruzzaman Bhuiyan, Sirajganj district Livestock Officer, Dr Mijanur Rahman, Shahajadpur upazila Livestock Officer, Afroza Akhter Sultana, Upazila Sanitary Inspector and Shariful Islam, representative of Bangladesh Food Safety Authority and Ullapara upazila Livestock officer were present at the programme.
