"I got myself tested for coronavirus and the result has come back positive. I am in isolation and feeling well. I request that all those who came in contact with me recently should isolate themselves and get tested,” the 64-year-old action hero tweeted on Wednesday.
Sunny, also a ruling BJP parliamentarian, has been resting at the farmhouse in Manali since undergoing a shoulder surgery in Mumbai. The Bollywood actor got himself tested for Covid on Tuesday in Manali before coming back to Mumbai.
Sunny will soon be seen in the sequel for Apne, featuring his father Dharmendra, brother Bobby Deol and son Karan Deol. The film is slated for late next year release.

A number of Bollywood celebrities, right from singer Kanika Kapoor to Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek, had been tested positive for the deadly virus. Luckily, all of them have recovered from Covid.
Sunny made his Bollywood debut opposite fellow debutante Amrita Singh in blockbuster Betaab in 1983. Subsequently, he went on to star in a number of successful flicks in the 1980s and 1990s, and is considered as one of the most successful stars of that time.
