The parent organization of world football, FIFA, has recently featured renowned Bangladeshi band artist and singer-composer-musician Raef Al Hasan Rafa’s popular track “Ami Akash Pathabo” on its official Facebook page ‘FIFA World Cup’.

FIFA featured the track as a background score for the Facebook Reels tribute video of the legendary Brazilian footballer Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima, globally popular as Ronaldo, who was one of the key players for Brazil to win the 1994 and 2002 FIFA World Cup and the third-highest goalscorer for his national team, to date.

The video, a regional content for the Bengali audiences of FIFA, was published on the Facebook page on September 22, with the caption “Ronaldo: Amazing and Best,” showcasing some of the finest momentums of the Brazilian football legend - a three-time FIFA World Player of the Year and winner of two Ballon d'Or awards.

Sharing the video from his band AvoidRafa’s verified Facebook page, Rafa wrote: "Our song is now officially on FIFA’s channel! A proud moment for us as a Bangladeshi band. This is for Bangladesh! #ProudMoment #FIFA #BangladeshToTheWorld."

Lyricist of the song Shafayet Mansoor Rana also shared his happiness about the matter on his Facebook, writing: “Life is full of surprises! I never imagined that my written song for my project "Ami Akash Pathabo" would be featured on my favorite sport, football, by the FIFA World Cup official page. Life is good!”

“Ami Akash Pathabo” was originally released in February 2015 as the title track for the popular drama of the same name, directed by Shafayet Mansoor Rana with singer-actor Jon Kabir and Aparna, under the Valentine’s Day miniseries collective “CloseUp Kache Ashar Shahoshi Golpo” by CloseUp Bangladesh.

On September 13, FIFA shared the popular Bangladeshi band Chirkutt’s one of the most fan-favourite tracks “Jadur Shohor” as the background score for a customised Facebook Reels, hyping up the ongoing 2024 FIFA Futsal World Cup.
